The English Inn, Fish Creek is one of those Supper Clubs that you can't help but want to take another photo because it's such a cool spot. We arrived at a perfect time before the supper crowd showed up, and it was Easter and the slowest time of the year in Door County. All this gave us time to get a couple of fun and fabulous cocktails created by the very sweet bartender, and I had a chance to ask the owner a bunch of questions about this place and about his life story. He is a very interesting gentleman who acquired his first Supper Club at twenty, and he might want to change his passwords.

The dining room is gorgeous and is decorated in that same medieval motif. I was glad that there were modern utensils on the table because following the motif and eating with my hands would have been difficult especially with all the different things we ate. Starting with the Baked Brie with the cherry sauce was tasty and a great choice for a starter. My signature Spinach Salad and The Other Chaser's Cherry Spinach Salad were as delicious as Spinach Salads get, and I thought the same about the yummy Baked French Onion Soup. I had to have the Beef Wellington which was as delicious as so many of you told me it would be, cooked perfectly medium rare. The Pistachio Crusted Halibut caught the eye of The Other Chaser, and Halibut is one of my favorite fish to eat. Another recommendation by the owner was to enjoy an ice cream cocktail, and I can tell you that I more than enjoyed mine, the Almond Joy, and The Other Chaser was one of the first to enjoy hers, something cherry coming to the menu soon, just say you want what The Other Chaser had, you'll love it!
