It's been a little while since we've been to Chef Rene's at Eagle River Inn in Eagle River, and it was so special to see Homer  still making everyone smile passing out finger puppets that are made by his sister-in-law. He was so kind to give us a finger puppet for each of my grandkids. If you haven't been here, it's worth coming just to meet Homer.

The second best thing at Chef Rene's and you know I'm kidding because you know I love  food are the fabulous dishes created by Chef Rene. If you love seafood, I encourage you to start with the Seafood Crepe which is lobster, scallops, and shrimp rolled in a crepe, with the tastiest sherry cream sauce that you want to use the warm bread to soak up every last drop, it is so yummy.  I really enjoy the Wild Mushroom Medley Appetizer too. The Other Chaser wanted to tap out after these two amazing appetizers, but I encouraged her to get an entree too, since I wanted to try a couple of the specials, and I needed my favorite kind of breakfast, leftovers from the night before Supper Club adventure. Both the New York Strip and the Walleye Piccata were both so delicious, and I highly recommend the clam chowder if they have it. I would be very interested in hearing your favorite dishes you've eaten at Chef Rene's.
